The Amalgamated Nursery School (ANS) is a community parent cooperative school offering free 3K and Pre-K for All, funded by the NYC Department of Education, in a strong community-based setting. We are also excited to announce that we have been selected by the DOE to offer free 2K for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year! Established in 1928 and located in the Northwest Bronx, ANS has served the Amalgamated Park Reservoir Cooperatives and the surrounding community for almost 100 years.

ANS is a child’s laboratory for developmentally appropriate learning. All lead teachers hold Master's degree's in Early Childhood Education. Assistant Teachers are well educated and offer years of early childhood experience. With long-tenured teachers - many of them former ANS parents - our staff reflects the deep trust and strong community that define our school.
